Honour sacrifices of Kashmiris, Sallahudin tells separatists
Islamabad, Sep 11: The Non-Resident Kashmiri leaders Wednesday demanded an independent and impartial probe into the killing of four youth by paramilitary CRPF forces in south Kashmir’s Shopian district last week.  Expressing his concern over what he called as “stepping up of human rights violations in Kashmir,” the United Jihad Council (UJC) Chief Syed Sallahudin said, “the bloodshed of innocent Kashmiris carried out under Zubin Mehta’s musical show has exposed India’s brutal face at international level.” He, however, stated that the world community and pro-Indian political parties’ apathy towards these killings was highly condemnable.
Referring to the unending sufferings of Kashmiri people, the Hizb chief said that it was high time that the pro-freedom leadership comes together and forge a broad based unity to “capitalize the enormous sacrifices Kashmiris as a nation have rendered over the past several years.” Reiterating his resolve to continue resistance movement at all fronts, he said that the “Jihadi leadership was committed to take the ongoing struggle to its logical conclusion despite all odds.”
While demanding an impartial probe into the recent killings by CRPF, the APHC-G convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi and DFP vice president Mehmood Ahmed Saghar said in light of the confessionary statement by police there was a dire need that an independent, impartial and thorough investigation into the incident must be held to bring the real culprits to justice. Saghar said that “the police officials have categorically rejected the Indian contention making it absolutely clear that the four persons killed in the CRPF firing were civilians.” “On one hand India was busy in projecting a kind of all is well situation of Kashmir by holding Zubin Mehta musical concert in the famous Shalimar Garden while on the other its trigger-happy forces were dancing on the beat of gunshots and tunes of blood in South Kashmir,” he said.
Expressing his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved, Saghar said that “the blood of innocent Kashmiris wouldn’t go in vain.” APHC-G convener said, “By killing innocent civilians and particularly the youth of Kashmir, India is trying to strengthen its control on the territory.”  Decrying the mainstream parties’ “indifference” towards the issue, he was of the view that all the “pro-Indian political parties especially the National Conference was responsible for the sufferings and atrocities being inflicted upon the people of Kashmir.”
