99 Magisterial, 10 Commission inquiries ordered since 1990

JAMMU, Apr 5: A total of 99 Magisterial probes were ordered and 10 Commissions of Inquiries constituted in the State to probe various incidents since 1990. This was disclosed by the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Department, Mir Saifullah, in the written reply to the question of CPM MLA, Mohd Yousaf Tarigami in the Legislative Assembly today. “A total of 99 Magisterial Inquiries have been ordered since 1990 out of which 81 have been finalized and 11 are going on”, the Minister said. However, the Minister failed to furnish the information regarding action taken on the recommendations on the ground that information from the Home Department was still awaited. He said that 10 Commission of Inquiries have been completed.
