paid to Vaishnavi on his first death anniversary
JAMMU, July 1: Rich tributes were paid to
Amar Nath Vaishnavi-father of Community on his first death anniversary here,
today. A grand function was organized by the All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference
(ASKPC)- the organization which Vaishnavi Ji headed up to his last breath. A
large number of people including prominent personalities attended the function
and paid homage to this towering personality who did selfless service to
society throughout his life.
A
booklet on Vaishnavi Ji was also released on the occasion. Those who paid
tributes to this great leader who was an RSS ideologue and a staunch Hindu
included BJP chief spokesperson and National Executive Member, Dr Jitendra
Singh, convener Panun Kashmir, (PK), Dr Agnishekhar, president PK, Ashwani
Kumar Chrungoo, president KP Sabha K K Khosa, president KPC, Kundan Kashmiri,
Swami Kumar Ji of Geeta Satsangh Ashram, AIKPC chief, H N Jatu, senior vice president ASKPC, R K Raina, A K
Raina vice president AIKS, Shiban Khebri and Virender Raina of PK.
While
paying tributes to Vaishnavi, Dr Jitendra Singh said that the legacy of
Vaishnavi ji is not confined to a particular community but is a rallying point for all the nationalist
forces struggling for a dignified existence with the ideal of justice to
all,appeasement to none. Dr Agnishekhar and Ashwani Chrungoo termed Vaishnavi
Ji a Yug Pursh who not only worked for the betterment of his community but
strengthening the nationalist forces all over State. The duo recalled his role
in Praja Parishad movement and Ladakh agitation. H L Chatta president ASKPC
termed Vaishnavi Ji a great man who not only headed the ASKPC but was also
declared as father of the community. He termed him a towering personality and a
leader by birth who did selfless service to nation till his last breath.
On
the occasion ASKPC also felicitated migrant students who secured meritorious
results in Class 10th and 12th by presenting them certificates on the name of
Karaam Yogi Amarnath Vaishnavi. Besides family members of late leader gave
financial assistance to 10 deserving migrant students. The Principals of
migrant schools of Muthi, Jagti, Purkhoo, Nagrota, Durga Nagar were also
felicitated. The programme was compared by Shiban Krishan Bhat. Earlier two
minutes silence was observed in memory of this great leader
