Even Parliament can’t abrogate Article 370: Soz
Baramulla, June 27: A day after Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said revocation of Article 370 is not possible, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) chief Saif-ud-Din Soz Thursday said even Indian Parliament can’t abrogate the article, which grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir. “No authority in India, not even the Parliament can abrogate Article 370 as it is integral part of Indian constitution.  BJP leaders always  talk about revocation of Article  370 on eve of elections,” Soz said while addressing party workers at Dak Bangalow, here. He said he wonders why BJP did not raise the issue  when they were in power in Delhi for  six years.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had said yesterday that revocation of Article 370 granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir is not possible. “We the people of Jammu and Kashmir categorically tell them (BJP leadership) that revocation of Article 370 is not possible at all. Any attempt by anyone on this sensitive issue would be on our dead bodies,” he had said.
