Influx of terrorists, pumping of fake currency, arms
continues from Pak: VHP
Expressing
serious concern over the continuing infiltration from across the border,
smuggling of drugs, narcotics, arms, ammunition and pumping of fake currency
VHP today alleged that despite spending hundreds of crores of rupees on border
fencing, installing flood lights, scanners, satellites etc to detect
infiltration the Union Government has failed to achieve the desired results. Quoting Government figures at a press
conference here today, the VHP state president Dr Rama Kant Dubey said 13
tones of RDX has been recovered in J&K since the militancy surfaced in this
border and sensitive state in 1989. This is the highest recovery so far
anywhere in the world, he added.
Making a dig at the Government the
VHP leader said that all the claims of the Government regarding plugging of
infiltration routes proved hollow. He said security forces so far have seized
31,000 ak rifles, 11,055 pistols, 1027 UMGs, 79 carbine, 219 LMGs, 69 general
purpose machine guns, 295 rifles. Besides
2262 rockets projectlile guns, 2830 rocket boosters, 70071 ak magazines, 11055
pistol magazines, 1321 umg magazines, 150 lmg magazines, 31 carbine magazines
& 32 telescopes, 6000 IEDs, 63000 grenades and 70000 detonates were also
seized, he added.
Dr Dubey, while expressing concern over the lenient
approach of the Union Government towards the terrorists said that those who
crossed border to seek arms training in Pakistan to wage a war against India
got married in Pakistan and they are now returning along with their children
and wives. There is no halt on their influx, he added. Their infiltration is a
grave security risk but the Government has failed to wake up and deport them
back.
The VHP leader while strongly
criticizing the policy of Union Government challenged its decision to continue
dialogue with neighboring country which has been a security threat to India in
view of aiding and abetting terrorism against the nation and pushing armed
desperados. Even last month seven KGs of RDX were recovered and this all is
smuggled from across the border, he added. Terming Pakistan mastermind of
terrorism Dr Dubey said that Government should discontinue dialogue process
with neighboring country and pay it in the same coin. He also demanded security
forces be given a free hand in weeding out terrorists and there should be no
political interference in the same. He made it clear that till Pakistan does
not stop aiding and abetting terrorism, wind up training camps in PoK and other
places and stop pumping of arms and ammunition in India the Government should
discontinue dialogue process with it.
